Hisuian Pokémon includes both Hisui variants for Pokémon from past generations and new evolutions for Pokémon like Scyther and Stantler. Hisuian Voltorb was the first Hisui variant to be added into Pokémon Go, with its debut being part of the in-game celebration for the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus for the Nintendo Switch. On this page: Hisuian Pokémon made their first appearance in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, where the player explores the Hisui region which, hundreds of years later, would be known as the Sinnoh region. In Legends: Arceus, some of the Hisuian Pokémon can only be obtained by meeting a special requirement with a Pokémon from a past generation and then evolving it, such as evolving Stantler into Wyrdeer. Since only two Hisuain Pokémon have been released into Pokémon Go at the time of writing, we don’t know how these special requirements will translate to the mobile game. In Pokémon Go, Hisuian Pokémon are a type of Pokémon Forme, just like how Burmy has a different appearance depending on the location you encounter it in. Thankfully, Hisuian Pokémon share the same candy as their traditional counterparts. This means that, if you have enough candy to evolve a Kanto Voltorb into an Electrode, you can do the same with a Hisuian Voltorb. Here are some of the Hisuian Pokémon which have been released in the game so far:

Hisuian Voltorb as part of the Voltorb from the Hisui region?! event in January 2022. Hisuian Electrode as part of the Go Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally event in February 2022. During the Hisuian Discoveries event of July 2022, the following Pokémon were released: Hisuian Growlithe and its evolution Hisuian Arcanine. Hisuian Qwilfish and its evolution Overqwil. Hisuian Sneasel and its evolution Sneasler. Hisuian Braviary as part of the Hisuian Discoveries Raid Day on Sunday, July 31st 2022.

If you’re missing a Hisuian Pokémon from your collection, keep an eye on the seasonal or event spawns, along with the 7km egg pool, to see if they’ve been included. The Season of Mythical Wishes continues with the Winter Holiday event, which has brought Mega Glalie to Pokémon Go. Don’t forget to partake in the new Go Battle League season. Elsewhere, be sure to use Daily Adventure Incense for the chance of encountering Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos and Galarian Moltres.
