This festival was clearly inspired by Christmas (the Christmas tree in the middle of Pelican Town square is hard to miss) and involves a secret gift-giving activity. Like the Luau back in the hot days of summer and the Flower Dance, the Feast of the Winter Star gives you an opportunity to raise the friendship of a specific citizen in Pelican Town. The catch is that this villager is randomly selected. On this page:

One of the main goals in Stardew Valley is to complete the Community Center bundles or, if you’re corporate minded, you can buy a JojaMart Membership. Fishing is a great way to earn money in Stardew Valley, especially if you decide to use crab pots and ponds. Throughout the year you’ll also be able to take in a variety of festivals, including the Egg Festival, Stardew Valley Fair and the Night Market. A week before the festival, the 18th of Winter, you’ll receive a letter in the mail from Lewis containing the name of the villager who you’ll be finding a gift for at this year’s Feast of the Winter Star festival. Whatever you decide to gift your chosen villager will be worth five times the normal amount of friendship points. Thanks to this, it’s always worth giving your chosen villager something they might like, even if it’s a neutral level gift. Once you’ve given your gift away, you’ll receive one of your own from a randomly selected villager. The gift you receive depends on which villager was chosen to give you a gift. Below you’ll find a list of possible gifts, the amount you’ll receive and who will give it to you: If you don’t like the present you receive, you can always restart the game and try your luck at a better gift! Once the Feast of the Winter Star is completed, you’ll have to wait till spring and the Egg Festival to partake in another festival.
